Another great 2 hours or so with the Playmate and the 5.5 Storm. Very
relaxed in the sun and flat conditions. Tried Mike H's very old slalom
board - a barely guided missile!! Especially combined with his 6.3m sail.
Very pleased with the Naish, is it making me lazy?? Feel the urge to learn
some freestyle moves... Michael surprised how easily it planed with his
weight and the realtively small sail - "good for teaching the kids!" - not
sure quite if I should take that as a compliment! Finally stopped when arms
got tired - too much arm movement over the last few days, but learning,
learning...
Did lots of port tack gybes - those appear to be working really well, in
contrast with starboard - is it relative strength of new front hand which
pulls across better on port tack? Also manage some successful tacks. It was
great sailing in and out :-) in the sun, and beginning to actually enjoy
gybing!! Definitely a step forward.
